Softball: Greetings from Canton Province (in theory)
OK, a quick furiously pecked note to let you know I am about two hours Southeast of Guanzhou, China, I beleive in the house of the besdt friend of Wendy's mom's 3rd cousin twice removed, but since I have no map and wendy tells me nothing, it's not clear to me if I'm still in Asia.
What I do know is that this friend has a teenage son who has taken a deep learner's interest in softball, but since he speaks no English and my 'village Cantonese" is limited to 'hello, 'thank you' and 'toilet,' I have had to explian the rules with a somewhat simplified framework. Of course, athletic proseltization is not alien to me, and thus I will carry on with mormon-like perseverence.
