Softball: Faith in Drainage

Dear People,

I know what you’re thinking; You’re thinking “What kind of pitiful schlemiel plans a softball game when the one he just organized was predictably aborted by rain, and every climatologist on earth says that this contemptible cloud-pissage will continue intermittently for the next several days? Does that callous little rodent want our aerobic hearts to be crushed once again?!” Believe you me, I hear ya.

And therefore there will be a game at Codornices this Sunday at 11, IF I get enough commits by this Friday morning. . .Ray

Softball: Screwed Again ;-(

Dear People,

As you know, my cerebellum cracks with the angst of 1,000 existential psychotics whenever I have to cancel a game. Unfortunately, when my brother and I went to the field a few minutes ago, I ran into a city parks official who warned me in no uncertain terms that if I try to organize a game, I will personally face trouble, woes and a significant fine (as per the “Park Closed” sign now on second base). In fairness, the outfield is better suited for Trout Fishing and Nude Olympic Mud Writhing than for an actual game of softball.

Yes, we’ve been hosed, but even in the face of such outrageous climatological injustice, I implore you to never stray from our deepest communal principles of pure non-violent resistance. Patience. . . Raymond
