Softball: Governance

Dear People,

Condolences to all on last weekend’s abruptly cancelled aerobic festivities. There has been some grumbling that I acted too despotically in ruling out play on Codornice’s suggestively drenched virgin clays and underwater grasses. In fairness to myself, I acted in good faith when trying to calculate the odds of continuing rain, as well as the heightened risks to our players of malaria, river blindness and quicksand-suck. Nevertheless, the denial by fiat of your cardiovascular dreams has already left some of you feeling both corpulent and disenfranchised, and despite my fondness for the levers of unchecked power, I understand your sorrow. Therefore, if the people so demand, I will tender my resignation as softball organizer and return to the cherished Carpathian chateau of my Bucharest youth.

In the meantime, there will be a game at Codornices next Sunday, February 6th at 11AM, IF I get enough commits by this Friday noon…Ray
