Softball: Chills at the Keyboard

Dear People,

Because I took in Saturday’s game from the 103 degree perch of my febrile dementia, I must concede that I don’t remember all that many details. I do, however, have my trusty scorecard in front of me, and from what I can tell, Frank’s team held off Darryl’s 27-25. This was despite a ferocious 10-run 9th inning rally that’s just gotta’ break your heart, given its absolute, ultimate and piteous futility.

In any case, what really pisses me off now is that I am still suffering from this totally annoying super-viral-flu-thing that I thought I was recovering from at the game. This means, alas, that I have neither the energy nor peace-of-stomach to court you further, but obviously, my aerobic love for all of you is still as pure and vital as lilac and myrrh. And therefore there will be a game at CODORNICES this SUNDAY at 11, IF I get enough commits by this Friday morning…Raymond

Softball: The Uncertainty Principles

Dear People,

There will hopefully be a game at Codornices this Sunday at 11, and as of now, there are still three slots left (possibly four, if the contemptible viral entity that is still hosing my flu-weary body is not quickly rounded up, identified, and then promptly shot dead). Unfortunately, more rain is expected between now and then, so the bottom line is that you will need to check email/voicemail on Sunday morning.

If there is a game, this week’s field fee will be just $2, and that includes a pre-match stein of chilled goat milk with caviar toasts…Raymond 845-7552

Softball: Sunday Morning 9:15AM: Our home, the Everglades ;-(…..

As you know, whenever I have to cancel a game, my heart breaks with the sorrow of 1,000 Evangelicals who’ve just lost another soul to paganism. However, the hard reality is that Codornices is both officially closed and soaked to the gills, and therefore, until next week…Raymond
