Softball: Purpose, Mettle and Relative Brevity

Dear People,

Congratz to all on last week's majestic 16-12 display of peerless athletic elegance. I get a tad veklempt when I reflect on how every one of us held fast despite the fierce intermittent showers that pounded our fragile little heads throughout the 3rd, 6th and 8th innings. Indeed, it all makes me marvel anew at the resiliency of the communal spirit, and that such courage occurred on the very day that two balloonists circled the earth for the first time in recorded history only adds evidentiary weight to my long held belief that the zeniths of human accomplishment occur in harmonious waves that are as tightly woven as the human heart is free.

In any case, in order to nurture the boundless zeal with which you have embraced this oddly compelling sport of mere ball and stick, I am pleased to announce that there will be another game this Saturday, March 27th, at Noon at Kleeberger North, IF I get enough commits by this Friday morning....Raymond

PS: Rain is possible; Please commit to football if interested.
