Softball: The Process of Change, Discomforting but Vital

Dear People,

My team trounced Jonny’s 24-11, but since I’m still focused on the prospect of a seamless transition to my new email provider, I’m not even going to comment on the tactical calamities for which he, and he alone, must be held fully and utterly responsible. If that puts Jonny in an “unfavorable light” as our new era begins, then so be it.

The point is that I’m still not sure if this maiden 287-address cybermissive is even going to make it out of the gate, and thus I’m tempted to take a somewhat more laconic approach to my usual love and wooitude. Still, I would like to point out that if you do get this, it will prove that Youseef is not only one of the greatest semi-semi-regulars in the history of our league, but that he is also the most gifted importer of custom-duplicated CSV files from a non-compatible digital distribution list on the face of this earth.

Of course, if this email implodes into useless undeliverable cyberdust, Yous will obviously have to make amends, and if that means being our community water boy for the next 25 games, then so be it (again). And therefore there will be a game at Codornices this Sunday at 3PM, IF I get enough commits by this Friday morning….Raymond

Softball: Another Lost Hour

Dear People,

There will be a game at Codornices this Sunday at 3PM, and as of now, it is full. As always, please let me know ASAP if you committed and need to cancel, and if you want in, feel free to contact me later for reopened slots.

Please note that this weekend is Daylight Savings, which means you need to set your clock one hour forward before you go to bed on Saturday. If you fail to do so, you’re likely to arrive at the game 60 minutes late, thereby exposing yourself as the chrono-challenged buffoon that you really don’t want to be.

$3 for the field/Hasta Domingo…Raymond 845-7552

Softball: 1:59 PM: Yes, Because we are Nothing if not Stout

Dear People,

As you know, my brain swirls with the cluttered uncertainty of 1,000 hippies on acid whenever I have to decide on the fate of a game in such annoyingly ambiguous weather. The point is that if this turns out badly, it’s not my fault, and I think we can all agree on that no matter how bitter an experience this may become.

Having said that, the field is totally playable, the drizzle is extremely light and simply not worthy of our concern, and if by chance I have miscalculated, those who crave community will meet after we flee at Triple Rock (on Shattuck, 1/2 a block North of University), for carems, beer and the gentle solace of your fellow aerobic wussies….Raymond 845-7552
