Softball: Brief Musings on Familial Reappraisal

Dear People,

Congratz to all on last week’s totally freako 34-16 descent into the unforeseen spectacle of pure kiniseologic carnage. My team’s breathtaking triumph is particularly eerie when one considers that we were saddled with both my spindly-legged brother, Lawrence, AND my sparrow-brained sister, Toni, for if nothing else, such an outcome would seem to fly in the face of everything that is known about Darwinian athletics.

All I can say is that while I don’t pretend to understand what happened, I am now truly hopeful that the Weschler family name will no longer be so glibly dismissed as aerobic pronoun-code for ‘suck.’ And therefore, there will be a game at Codrornices this Sunday at 11, IF I get enough commits by this Friday noon….Raymond

Softball: The Tactical Craft of Culinary Seduction

Dear People,

There will be a game at Codornices this Sunday at 11, and as of now there are still SIX slots left. Since we still have a barely minimal quorum, you are welcome to commit all who crave aerobic release, including your distant kin, freako neighbors and newly released cellmates.

Please bring $2 for the field, which for this week only includes an exquisite post-game feast of Moldavian eel, braised in a delightful copper skillet with fresh mint, haggis and curd….Raymond 845-7552
