Softball: The Meditative Tranquillity of Extended Family
Dear People,
Congratz to Jay Z and Chris for their vital and well-organized foray into the treacherous waters of aerobic organization. Of course, I wasn’t there, so there’s not that much I can tell you except that apparently Jay’s team, created by Jay, crushed the opposing side, also created by Jay. Oh sure, this could be a "coincidence," but I for one believe that it certainly couldn’t hurt to inform Michael Moore.
In any case, I am now back in my humble Berkeley abode, just me and Wendy, and her wonderful Cantonese parents, Chukin Lo and Laiho Yeung. And my cherished brother Robert—himself just flown in after 23 quick years in Japan—and his lovely Shanghaiese wife, Jun. AND their adorable Japanese-Chinese-Jewish-American offspring, Sabrina, 10, and Sky, four. That makes eight of us.
But no worries. In fact, this is totally copasetic, for as those who know me know, I always thrive anew when temporarily surrounded in my own home by the utterly soothing innocence of childhood youth. Indeed, sometimes Sky will suddenly start shrieking at the top of his lungs for no apparent reason, and it is in those majestic moments that I’ll curse my two-decade old vasectomy as the impetuous clippage of a twisted young mind.
Having said that, though, if there is somebody out there who would like to take in my darling nephew for the next couple nights, I’m sure that could be arranged. Seriously. In fact, I’ll even throw in his sister and parents if that’s what it takes to seal the deal. Really. Please. And therefore there will be a game at Codorncies this Sunday at 11, IF I get enough commits by this Friday morning…Raymond

Softball: Abstractions of Comparative Choice
Dear People,
There will be a game at Codornices this Sunday at 11AM, and as of now, there are still five slots left.
Please bring $2 for the field, which for this week only includes EITHER a complimentary bassinet of high-yield European equities OR a post-game pedicure in raspberry teal…Raymond 845-7552
