Softball: Transcending Sloth
Dear People,
There will be a softball game this Saturday (6/28) at 4:30 pm IF we get the minimum number of commits needed. If we don't, that would be the second week in a row that the calcified crustaceans of shameless group lethargy sapped the very marrow from our most rarified aspirations, and to be sure, that's not a pretty image. There are over 50 of you out there; Let's prove it to ourselves that we are not a just a bunch of flabby, effete and callow futilitarains, but rather a rock hard group of searing kinetic power, waiting to rediscover the virtue of sport and all that is righteous....Ray [PS below]
PS: Given the dubious speed of e-mail (last week some messages were not delivered until a day after being sent), your commits, maybes, rejections, messages of encouragement, love notes, and offers of psychiatric assistance should really be sent back to me by no later than Thursday night. In addition, I have decided that those people who never respond will be dropped from the list in order to get a more realistic assesment of the task at hand. Cruel, but true.
