Softball: It's a Goy!

Dear People,

Mel's team flayed mine on the last hit of the game, 15-14, and in so doing, Tony Mac and Mary can now drive off to Detroit knowing that not only is their cherished municipal homeland a revitalizing paragon of insolvent potential, but that they themselves have concluded their five storied years in our community with a nail-biting triumph of rarefied aerobic pulchritude-definitive, deserved and as sweet as the fresh virgin sorghum they'll soon pass in Kansas. Indeed, it was the Marynator's stunning 2-RBI double to deep center-left that would glean their most critical runs, and while I'm obviously not one for florid speculation, I'd like to think that the galvanizing mojo of that transcendent 6th-inning blast will soon find its lingering metaphorical seedage in the moist, struggling soils of Motown herself.

The point is that it would be easy to say that with the simultaneous loss of two communal backbones, we should perhaps take a week or two to gather our organizational bearings before playing again, and normally I would agree. But then I heard the news that a tiny little regal poop machine has just been added to the House of Dumbsor, and thus it suddenly seemed like to not play would be an inappropriate dig at the joy of the monarchial line. Indeed, if there's one thing I simply don't want, it's anyone suspecting that I somehow think that Her Royal Heinie's delightful family represents the most anachronistically moronic institution on the face of the earth. And therefore there will be a game at Codornices this Sunday at 11, IF I get enough commits by this Friday morning…Raymond
