Softball: The Limits of Leadership

Dear People,

Jeff’s team drowned my own in a metaphorical vat of ineptitude-based high-fructose suck-syrup, 20-11, and for that I offer no excuses. Except that Frank struck out three times, Jonny’s feckless base running turned a near-certain triple into a botched double-play-pickle, and Bill, our rover extraordinaire who was guarding deep left field in the 5th, inexplicably kicked (and then kicked again) a dropped bases-loaded fly-ball directly into the out-of-play bushes, as if he had momentarily forgotten that he was actually playing softball and not intramural soccer.

Of course, as captain, the buck stops with me and me alone, no matter how just, appropriate or utterly rational it would be to blame my three aerobic stooges. And therefore there will be a game at Codornices this Sunday at 11AM, IF I get enough commits by this Friday morning…Ray

Softball: Another Week of Open Enrollment

Dear People,

There will be game at Codornices this Sunday at 11AM, and as of now there are still seven slots left. You are therefore welcome to once again commit any of the non-community people you know who have so often pined for the release of a delicious game of softball, but who were always excluded because of my outrageous aerobic elitism.

$3 for the field/See you Sunday.…Ray 845-7552
