Softball: A Brief Tangent on the Current Zeitgeist

Dear People,

Jonny’s team beat my own 14-10, but that’s only because six of the 22 players were either non-community mysteries or those who had simply not joined us in centuries. Indeed, much of the inscrutable aerobic stew that formed this game—the newbie Patrick from Oakland, the lovely Pick from Bangkok, and of course the youthful Grady from PrepubescentVille—could not have possibly exploited the long-term recreational bonding for which my genteel captainship is so universally renowned.

Yes, it’s clear that but for this sudden burst of organic organizational evolution, my team would have won. Yet unlike Lou Dobbs, Michelle Malkin and all those other shameless demagogic hypocrites, I will continue to embrace the free flow of athletic goods, capital and labor, and therefore there will be a game at Codornices this Sunday at 11AM, IF I get enough commits by this Friday morning…Ray

Softball: Options

Dear People,

There will be a game at Codornices this Sunday at 11AM, and as of now it is full. As always, feel free to contact me later if you’re looking for reopened slots, and if you committed and need to cancel, please let me know ASAP.
This week’s field fee is just $3, and that includes an unprecedented post-game straw poll to determine whether we as a community will indefinitely stick with softball, or instead make the much discussed transition to nude speed walking, darts and croquet…Ray 845-7552
