Softball: Your Good-Time Electoral College Sport

Dear People,

As you’re aware, a harsh confluence of poor puddle management and softball-hating geese prevented last week’s game. Suddenly left without an afternoon structure, I personally spent most of that warm and gorgeous day perusing through competing policy proposals on the future of Medicare, and while I certainly yearned for all of you, I must confess that I found such pre-election reading both utterly compelling and oddly arousing. No, not aerobic, but arousing, and if that makes you think I’m some kind of informed-citizen-freako, then so be it.

In any case, the Meteorological Affairs Division of the Swedish consulate in Livermore has assured me that the bitter rains are now over, and more importantly, that the malaria-ridden ponding waters of our beloved clay infield will be gone by this weekend. Therefore, there will be a game at San Pablo this Sunday at 2PM, IF I get enough commits by this Friday morning…..Raymond

Softball: Goodies

Dear People,

There will be a game at San Pablo Field this Sunday at 2PM, and as of now, there are three slots left.

Please bring $2 for the field, which for this week only includes an authentic fully-transferable electoral college vote (one of only 538 available anywhere!), a legally binding search warrant for the personal residence of your choice, and a delightful selection of pan-seared "Dayboat" sea scallops on an oxtail risotto with chives and white truffle oil…..Ray 845-7552
