Softball: The Continued Divergence of Equity and Score

Dear People,

Congratz to all on last weekend's sapid 21-11 inverted aerobic replication of the previous week's disturbing 12-5 ethical
challenge to recreational innocence. Once again, the winning contingent scored the majority of its pointage in a single-inning implosion of breathtaking defensive ineptitude, and yes, once again, the unsightly sting of internal collapse came both early and hard.

While I now found myself immersed in the losing endeavor, I am delighted to have been on a team that so stoutly fought back from an 11 point 1st inning deficit, and through sheer dint of raw athletic determination, methodically reduced that lead to a razor-thin 10 runs by the bottom of the 9th! I think such perseverance shows inimitable character, stunning grace, and quite frankly, a rarefied esprit de corps that is both nuanced and mellow, as well as clearly steeped in the bittersweet brine of victory denied. It also helped to change pitchers.

Alas, I'm still running short of both time and historical inspiration, but there will be a game at Codornices this Saturday at 11AM, IF I get enough commits by this Friday noon....Ray
