Softball: The Caloric Burn of a Swing at the Bat

Dear People,

Since we communicated last, you have no doubt grown corpulent on the traditional holiday fare of turkey, stuffing, yams and egg roll. That is all fine and good, but it is now time to reverse the corrosive onslaught of our communal torpor. Indeed, we are a callipygian people by design and desire, but without exercise, we will slowly grow wan and effete, mere gelatinous shadows of our once athletic, robust and virile selves.

Therefore, I am delighted to announce that there will be a softball game this Saturday, December 5th at 12 Noon, at Kleeberger North, IF I get enough commits by this Friday morning. Yes, I understand that it has recently been raining with near deistic fury, and the ominous altostratus clouds overhead frighten you to no end. I understand that. However, I can assure you that there will be no rain on Saturday, and thus it is time to make that commit. Not for any particular hero or concept. No, not for that. But simply for the wondrous opportunity to let Kleeberger's mudless green sheathing both nurture and cleanse us, as we play our way back to cardiovascular integrity....Raymond

PS: Please let me know if you'd be into (in to*?)playing football, since as you may know, it could rain on Saturday.

*I get chills just thinking about the inherent complexity of
certain transitive phrasal verbs. I guess I'm just that way.
