Rotten Situations
Lost Teeth due to Meth Mouth
Consequences of Drug Abuse
Rotten is a powerful adjective meaning horrible or extremely bad (If food is rotten, it has chemically decomposed so that it smells bad and can no longer be eaten). Meth is short for methamphetamine, which is a very dangerous and addictive drug that has become used among teenagers. A consequence is another word for a result or outcome, and one result of meth is that it rots away the users teeth! The abuse of something is to misuse it, or to use it in such a way that it is harmful.
This is a depressing headline that captures one of the most serious social problems that the United States is now facing. It was first widely noticed by Americas dentists.
